CELEBRATING OUR SUCCESSES
A selection of testimonials from people involved with the Pioneers Project.
Coming to the allotment has been better for me than the anger management programme I previously went to. It has been a great way for me to relieve my stress and feel part of something good.
I like coming to the group because I enjoy it and it can be an escape from the stressful thing called home. It’s been a positive thing for me to participate in and I think gives us something productive to do that can help me get a job in the future
I am myself now. I feel like I have stepped up and been able to help younger people, and I feel like I can walk out of my house and say hi to people which I couldn’t before. It’s been so good for me to get involved
The Pioneers Project has been a really positive experience for our family. Our son has a lot of challenges and has become socially isolated. Working in a sensitive and respectful manner, they have worked at his speed to help him re-build his confidence, empower him to re-encounter the outside world, and show him relationships can be safe.
I love going out with Jeff. He’s the only person who takes me anywhere and does things with me and I have no other male role models in my life. He helps me out so much.
The Pioneers Project have worked with a number of our adopted young people, several of whom have experienced huge trauma in their lives and have a deep distrust of adults and professionals as a result.
Thanks to the skill and experience of The Pioneers Project and Jeff in particular, these young people have been able to develop safe, trusting relationships with them, whilst also being supported to overcome huge difficulties in their daily lives. Jeff and the team go above and beyond for the young people they work with, making them feel really valued and supported.
I cannot praise the work The Pioneers Project do enough and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for this type of support.
I have been very impressed with your innovative and creative approach to supporting vulnerable pupils to help them re-engage in education using solution focussed approaches.
A genuine, caring service which is tailored to meet the needs of the child. Very professional in their approach and managing the needs of more complex children. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this service to other educational professionals. Thank you for your ongoing support to help students to be the best they can be and giving them chances they might not otherwise have.
The Pioneers Project has given my son the confidence to get back out into social settings, to try new skills, reintroduce old skills. It is very much person centred and the support workers take time to build up a rapport and relationship with the young person, which can then help gently and slowly move the person forward and out of their comfort zone, but with support. The focus is on being individual and maybe looking at things differently is a positive thing rather than being a problem. I would happily recommend this service. A very grateful and happy mother.
