How we’re responding to the Covid-19 virus
We’ve been watching and waiting for guidance from Government regarding Covid-19 before making any announcements on the state of our services. Based upon yesterday’s guidelines and after extensive conversations with partners, we are now working to the following:
- All community based projects are to be suspended immediately and will return once it is safe to do so. In practice, this means there will be no Cafe Connect on Wednesdays, no Community Allotment days as previously advertised, no final community consultation on Bull Point Barracks, and no art session on the Foxfield estate on Wednesdays.
- Our school group programme is suspended immediately and indefinitely. We will work closely with schools to resume the programme once it is safe to do so.
- Our 1-to-1 work with young people will continue until further notice, unless otherwise agreed with a partner agency. However, certain procedures will be implemented to ensure the safety of the young people and our staff. We will strictly follow Government guidance on how to stay safe which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response
Importantly, we want all our service users, partners, staff and friends to know that we care deeply for you and have your best interests at heart throughout this time. So, we’d like to remain in contact where possible and this can be done via the following methods:
- Our Facebook page – facebook.com/thepioneersproject
- Messenger – search for Jeff Dawson or Lisa Dawson
- Phone – call us on 01752 916016 if you fancy a chat
- Text – drop us a message on 07547 897642
The most important message we can give you all is to stay safe and to look out for each other. This is a time where we need to come together not be forced apart and although we may not be able to do that directly face-to-face, modern technology allows us the joy of connection.
