New group programme for schools launches
Do your students struggle with their social, emotional and mental health? Are they struggling with their identity? Are they disengaging from school life? Are you looking for a new way of reaching them that’s different to what’s out there?
In September 2019, The Pioneers Project CIC is launching a new programme called Futureproof which aims to help young people move forward and understand who they are, how to function in society and to aspire to better things.
The Pioneers Project CIC initially delivered this programme to community groups through its partnership with UK Youth, but we recognised its value and the possible impact it could have on a wider scale and therefore we have developed it to suit the needs of schools.
Mixing outdoor learning opportunities with informal youth work practice, this new programme will help young people learn how to work and function in teams; generate a better understanding of their identity; explore how to have positive relationships and positive mental health; and look at how the participants can be a positive part of society. It will give opportunities to regulate their physical and sensory needs through outdoor activities such as kayaking, climbing, gorge walking, surfing and more.
All is all, this programme has the potential to drastically change how young people feel about themselves and how they engage with school life.
The programme lasts 13 weeks and is for groups of 8 young people aged 11-16-years-old. It costs £75 per student per week totalling £975. Bookings must be made for the full 13 weeks and payment is due up front. If you’re interested in booking young people onto this, please contact us immediately.
